  • Outdoor Use Only: This grill is strictly for outdoor use to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Temperature Control: Features a temperature gauge on the lid and a damper to adjust airflow, allowing for some control over cooking temperature.
  • Charcoal Management: The charcoal tray can be adjusted using a crank handle to bring the charcoal closer to or further from the cooking grill, providing heat intensity control.
  • Warming Rack: Includes a warming rack to keep cooked food warm without overcooking.
  • Side Shelf: A convenient side shelf provides space for utensils, plates, or ingredients during grilling.
  • Portability: Equipped with wheels for easy movement and repositioning.
  • Lighting Methods: Supports two methods for lighting charcoal:
    • Method 1 (Charcoal & Lighting Fluid/Gel): Involves applying lighting fluid/gel to charcoal in the firebowl, allowing it to soak, and then lighting with a long taper or safety lighter. Strict warnings are provided against over-application, spilling on skin/clothes, and squirting onto burning charcoal.
    • Method 2 (Lighting Blocks): Involves placing lighting blocks in the center of the firebowl, lighting them, and then arranging charcoal around the burning blocks. Additional charcoal can be added in a pyramid formation.
  • Pre-heating: The barbecue should be heated up and the fuel kept red hot for at least 30 minutes prior to the first cooking.
  • Food Safety: Emphasizes thorough defrosting of frozen meat/poultry, separation of raw and cooked food, hand washing, surface disinfection, ensuring the grill is hot, turning food regularly, using separate utensils, and checking for clear juices in cooked meat/poultry.
  • Airflow Adjustment: A heat-resistant glove is recommended when adjusting the air vent.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • The cooking grill and tools should be soaked in hot soapy water as soon as possible after use, once the barbecue is completely cool.
    • The bottom bowl of ashes should be emptied when completely cold.
    • Avoid using solvent-based cleaners or detergents as they can bleach or damage the product.
    • Thoroughly clean all ash and unused fuel/coals before storage.
  • Storage:
    • Store the barbecue in a cool, dry place only when it is completely extinguished and cool.
    • Never store indoors unless all coals and ash have been removed and all surfaces are cool, to prevent fire or poisonous gas emissions.
    • Protect from severe weather conditions. A BBQ cover is recommended, but it must be removed periodically to minimize moisture buildup.
  • Inspection: The barbecue should be inspected before every use to ensure it is clean and in good working order.
  • Firebowl Lining: Lining the firebowl with aluminum cooking foil (shiny side up) can make cleaning easier and reflect heat more efficiently. Ensure ventilation holes are clear by piercing the foil.
  • Extinguishing Coals: Never pour cold water directly on hot coals as this may damage the grill. Use old cinders, sand, or a fine water spray instead.
  • Durability: The appliance will degrade with use over time. It is important to replace the barbecue when it shows signs of fatigue, corrosion, or damage to prevent injury.
  • Spare Parts: Spare parts are available by calling 0870 066 6938 or emailing Helpline@ClickSpares.co.uk. The Ref. number from the manual's front page is needed for queries.
