Operation
Connecting power
• Connect the power cable to a convenient power outlet.
Placing food in the microwave
• Prepare the food you want to cook.
If cooking prepared food from a supermarket, always follow the
manufacturer’s cooking instructions carefully, particularly with
regard to the packaging.
If cooking fresh food, prepare the food and place it in a suitable
container.
• Press the Door Release button to open the door.
• Place the food container centrally on the turntable.
• Close the door.
Setting microwave power and cooking time
• Set the ‘POWER’ control to the power level you want.
Low (17% power): Soften ice cream, keep food warm, etc.
Defrost (33% power): Defrosting, softening butter, etc.
Med ( 55% power): Use this for stews, etc.
M. High ( 77% power): Use this for rice , sh, etc.
High (100% power): For reheating, boiling water, etc.
• Set the TIMER’ control to the cooking time.
Cooking will start. The pointer on the ‘TIMER’ control will count
down the cooking time. At the end of the cooking time a bell will
ring.
Defrosting food by weight
You can automatically set the oven to defrost food by the food
weight.
• Set the ‘POWER’ control to Defrost.
• Weigh the food you want to defrost before placing it in the
oven.
• Using the DEFROST scale, set the ‘TIMER control to the food
weight in the range 0 - 1kg.
Cooking will start. The pointer on the ‘TIMER’ control will count
down the cooking time. At the end of the cooking time a bell will
ring.
NOTE: Always check that food has been fully defrosted.
