Powerwall 3 is an integrated solar and battery
system that converts energy from solar panels to
be used by the home, and stores excess energy
for future use. Every system contains at least one
Powerwall 3, with additional Powerwalls installed
depending on your home’s energy consumption.

The Backup Gateway 2 is installed in partial and whole home backup
systems.
Powerwall controls operation of the system, while Backup Gateway 2
monitors energy usage and manages the transition to and from backup
operation.
