messageatstartuphaseitheracorruptedoperating
systemornooperatingsysteminstalled.
Inmostcasesthedocumentsfolderisunaffectedand
thedevicewillstillberecognisedbyTInspireComputer
LinkortheTInspirecomputersoftware.Ifyouwishto
backupyourcalculatorfilesthisshouldbedonebefore
followingthesestepsbycopyingtheentiredocuments
foldertothecomputer.
Step1MaintenanceMenu
Themaintenancemenuprovidesaninbuiltmethodof
deletingremnantsofanincompleteorcorrupted
operatingsystem.Toaccessthemaintenancemenuthe
calculatormustbeturnedoffcompletely.Thiscanbe
donebyremovingallthebatteriesorbypressingthe
resetbutton.Ifyouhavearechargeablebattery
installed,theresetbuttonisthefastestoption.
Removebatteries
Detachthekeypadandremovetwo
batteries,onefromeachofthetwoslots.
Waitfor5secondsbeforereinsertingthebatteries.
Replacethekeypadthenpressandhold:[DOC]+[Enter]+[EE]while
turningthecalculatoron.Keepholdingthethreekeysuntilthe
maintenancemenuisdisplayed.
Resetbutton
Pressandhold:
[DOC]+[Enter]+[EE]andpresstheresetbuttononthe
reversesideofthecalculator.(Youmayneedafriendtohelpyou.)Keep
holdingthethreekeysuntilthemaintenancemenuisdisplayed.
