• Turn TextAlert OFF by sending a missed-call by dialling the number, hold the phone to
your ear and as it starts the first ring disconnect the call, TextAlert will receive the call,
identify you as having the right to turn it off, and it will turn off.
• Turn TextAlert back ON by sending TextAlert a “Please Call Me
” SMS. This instruction
is a standard feature under the ‘Templates’ menu of most phones.
• TextAlert will interpret what you mean, for instance the instructions you send are not
case sensitive and you can send multiple instructions in a single Sms/Text message.
E.g. – you can send: "Z2OFF, Z3OFF, Z5OFF, Z4ON, beach" – with or without the ‘,’ commas
and a whole string of different instructions will be followed – Zones 2, 3, and 5 will be turned
off – and Zone 4 will be turned on; and the reference to “Beach” is the password.
If you send “Status” to TextAlert and it will tell you if your instructions have been followed.
You will get a list of which zones are on or off.
