B. Make sure t hat t he tubing connections are attached correctly in all areas . M ak e sure t hat you check
the tubing connec t ions in t he engine compartment.
C. Make sure that the electrical connections are attached correctly.
27. Do a test of the wiring for t he circu it breaker pane l as follows:
A. Disengage one circuit b reaker.
B. Make sure that power is removed from the system the circuit breaker is a part of .
C. Engage the c ircuit breaker.
(1) Make s ure tha t there is power to the s y stem .
(a) For system s that have switches and that are easily visible (cockpit lights o r vent blowers
for example), you can use visual or tacti le inform ation to make sure that the system
operates correctly.
(b) For systems that start aut omatically or when operation cannot be seen (stall heat or pitot
heat f or example), you c an look a t t he instrument panel ammeter fo r changes in c urrent
draw to make sure t hat the sy stem o perat es correct ly
D. Repeat Step 27A thru 27C(1)(b) fo r each circuit breaker, one circuit breaker at a time.
28. Update t he TKS software configuration as follows:
A. Do the configuration of the s oftware as foll ows :
(1) Make sure that all electrical power to the airpla ne is off an d rem ov e the database cards from all
three of the displays.
(2) Diseng age the PFD1, PFD2, and MFD circuit break ers .
(3) Push and hold the ENT key down on the PF D2 display whil e you en gage the PFD2 circuit
breaker.
(4) Release the ENT k ey when IN ITI ALIZ ING SYSTEM shows on the PFD2 display.
(5) Push and hold t he ENT key down on th e MF D display while you engage the MFD circuit
breaker.
(6) Release the ENT key when INITIALIZING SYST EM shows on the M FD display.
(7) Put the G1000 software SD loader ca rd in the top slot of t he PF D 1 display unit.
(8) Push and hold the ENT key down on the PF D1 display whil e you en gage the PFD1 circuit
breaker.
(9) Release the ENT k ey when IN ITI ALIZ ING SYSTEM shows on the PFD1 display.
(10) When UPDATE SYSTE M FILES shows on the PFD1 display, select NO.
(11) Install the SD loader card i n P FD1.
(12) Use the FM S knob and the E NT key to go to the S YSTEM UPLOAD.
(13) Use the FMS knobs and the ENT key to selec t IN S TALLATION OPTIONS in th e AIRFRAME
field.
(14) Use the FM S knob and t he ENT key to select t he C es sna Carava n - TKS Low Profile Tank
Installation Option from the option list.
(15) Push the LOAD soft key and wait until the upload process is complete.
(16) Push the ENT key.
(17) Push the UPDT C FG and the ENT soft keys to update the PFD1 Confi gurat ion modul e.
(18) Wait until the upload process is complete and then pus h the ENT key.
