(1 9) Remove power from the system.
(20) Remove the G1000 SD loade r card from the PFD1 display.
(21) Install the three G1000 SD databas e cards into their correct displays.
(2 2) Apply power to the system and bring the three displays up in N ORMAL mode.
B. Do a check of the software configurat ion as f ollows:
(1) Put the EX TERNA L P OWER switch to the BUS position.
(2 ) Put the AVIONICS 1 switch to the ON positio n.
(3 ) Put the AVIONICS 2 switch to the ON positio n.
(4) After PFD’s have stabilized, pull down the MFD circuit breaker on the Avionics Circuit Breaker
Panel to rem ov e power from the MFD.
(5) After ten s ec onds , apply power.
(6) When t he splas hs creen is displ ay ed, push MFD s oft keys 1, 2, 3, and 1 in sequence t o enter
Maintenance Mode.
(7) Push ENT to exit the splashscree n.
(8) Make sure that the ADVISORY soft keys on the P FDs begin to flash.
(9) Push either of the ADVISORY soft keys.
(10) Make sure that the message “MAINTENANCE MO DE – Cy cle P ower to Exit” is displayed in
the ALERTS window.
(11) Make sure th at the message “CHECK TKS CO N FIG – TKS Install O ption does not m atc h T K S
Tank ” does NOT appear in the A LERTS window. If this message does app ear, troubleshoot
as follows :
(a) Make sure that the r e is a ground present at 61PI002 with t ank assembly and wiri ng
installed. Wring out between 61PI002 and *cJD003.
(b) Load the G1000 basel ine confi guration agai n a nd then do St eps 28A( 1) thru 28A(22)
(TKS Lo w Profi le Tank Option configuration) of t his Service Kit again. (Refer t o CAB09-6
(or latest revision) Garmin G 1000 Syste m Software Upgrade to Version 767.04 t o load
the G1000 bas eline configu ra tion.
(c) When you reload the bas eline s of tware, all ot her software options will be erased and you
must load them again. Refer to CA B 09-6 (or latest revision) Garmin G1000 System
Software Upg rade to Version 767 .04 to load the options t hat are install ed on yo ur airplane.
(12) Put the AVIONICS 1 switch to the OFF position.
(13) Put the AVIONICS 2 switch to the OFF position.
(14) Put the EX TERNAL POWER switch to the OFF position.
29. Do the leakage and f unc t ional tests.
A. Do the preparation for the leakage and functional tes t s as follows:
(1) Make sure that the airplane is level . (Refer to the Model 208 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 8,
Leveling - Maintenance Practices.)
(2) Engage the applicabl e circuit breakers as shown in Table 1:
