(4) (Refer to Figure 2, View B-B and View C-C.) Disc onnect the left and the right wing 0. 50-inch
fluid supply lines from the wing connection point on each proportioning unit.
(5) Conne ct the test lines to the left and the right wing supply lines.
NOTE: You can make test lines of unused TKS tubing. Shutoff valves or nylon balls and nuts
as recorded in the Material I nf ormation Section of this Serv ice K it can be used to
modulate flow through the test lines. It is neces s ary to install a 0-200 psi fluid gauge in
the em pennage test line only.
(6) Open the shutoff va lves (or remove the nylon ba ll/nut caps i f you used t hem) and put the
ends of th e test lines in five-gallo n buckets.
(7) Find the wi nds hiel d and propeller s upply lines on the lower right side of t he engine firewall.
(8) Disconnect the propeller and the winds hiel d fluid supply lines at t he firewall and connect the
windshield and prope ller test lines to the bulkhead ttings.
(9) Open the shutoff va lve for the propeller te st tu be and put the ends of the two test lines in
a five-gallon bucket.
NOTE: You can keep t he winds hield test line shutoff valve closed, or put a cap on th e end.
No fluid should flow f r om this line during this initial t est.
(10) (Refer to Figure 4, Detail B.) Disconnect the em pennage 0.50-inch fluid supply line f rom t he
empennage connect ion point on the tailcone proportioning un it and connect the test line, with
the union an d the pressure gage, t o the supply line.
(11) Open the sh utoff valve and p ut t he other end of the test line in a five-gallo n bucket.
(12) Make sure that the EXTERNAL POWER switch on the pilot's switch panel is in the OFF position.
(13) Make sure that t he PRIMARY switch o n the ANTI-ICE switch panel is in the OFF position.
(14) Get access to the t wo low pres sure s w itches in the tailcone .
(15) Disconnect t he c onnec t ors to t he two low pressure switches.
