(16) Put a five-gallon buc k et belo w the TKS fluid tank and equipment pack drain line (under the
low-profile fairing on the left s ide of the air plane).
B. Do the fluid indication s ystem s check as follows:
(1) Put the EX TERNA L P OWER switch to the BUS position.
(2) Make sure that t he fluid quantity readout on the M FD is green and reads “A-ICE GAL 0.0”. Pu t
the FLUID CONTROL PRIMARY switch to the NORM position.
(3) Make sure that the the fluid qu antity readout on the MFD is flashing red and reads “A-ICE
GAL 0.0 ” .
(4) Make sure tha t th e a nnunc iation o n the P FD is flashing am ber and reads “A-ICE FLUID LO”.
(5) Put the FLUID CONTROL PRIMARY switc h to t he OF F position.
(6) Add 11.00 gallons (41.63 liters) of TKS flu id to the tank an d w ait no les s than one minute.
(Refer to the 208 Maintenanc e Manual , Chapter 12 , TKS Anti-Ice System - Servicing.)
(7) With the m ini mum dispatch mark at eye level, m ak e sure that t he bottom of t he float b all in t he
fluid sight glass is not above the top of the minimum dispat c h mark.
(8) Make sure t hat the fl uid quantit y readou t on the MFD is green .
(9) Put the FLUID CONTRO L P RIM ARY switch to the NORM position.
(10) Make sure that the fl uid quant ity readout on t he MFD is green .
(11) Make sure that the annunciation on the PFD is white an d reads A -ICE NO RM.
(12) Put the FLUID C ONTROL PRIMARY switch t o the OF F position.
(13) Fill the tank with fluid until the flu id level ball i s just above the m inimum dispatch quantity line.
(14) Do a check for ac c urac y o f the fl uid quantity indication and make s ure that it shows w ithin
1.50 gallons of 11.7.
(a) If the indication is within 1.50 gallons of 11.7, go to S te p 29C .
(b) If the indication is not within 1.50 gallons of 11.7, do the s teps that fo llow to recalibrate the
level sender:
NOTE: The level sen der is mounted on t he top of the TKS fluid tank. The FULL
adjustment sc rew is labeled on t he level s ender.

Disengage the ENG INTFC circuit breaker (HI013).
CAUTION: Make sure that you do not c aus e a short when you hook up the leads
of the v oltmeter.

Connect one lead of the volt meter to the SEND pos t and the ot her lead of the
voltmeter to the NEG post of the level sender.

Engage the E NG I NTFC circuit brea ker (HI013).

Remove the protective coating from the FULL adj us tment sc r ew on the l eft side (left
side of the airplane) of the level sender.

With a screwdr iver, turn th e FULL adjustment screw until 3. 45 VDC, + 0.1 or −0.1
VDC, show s on the voltmeter.

Disengage the ENG INTFC circuit breaker (HI013).

Disconnect the leads of the voltmeter f ro m the level sender.

Put torque putty on the adjustment screw.

Engage the E NG I NTFC circuit brea ker (HI013).
