(12) Disengage the BACKU P A NTI- IC E c ircuit breaker and make sure t hat the pump shuts off.
(13) Put the FLU ID CONTROL BACKUP switch to th e OFF position .
(14) Engage the B ACKUP ANTI-ICE circuit break er.
(15) Put the FLUID CONTROL PRIMARY s witc h to t he NORMA L position and st art the timer.
(16) Make sure that the two metering pu mps are on for 20 seconds + 3 seconds or −3 s ec onds and
then off for 100 sec onds +10 seconds or −10 seconds.
(17) When the two pumps tu rn off, wait 30 seconds and then put the MAX FLOW switch to the
AIRFRAME pos ition and release the s pring-loaded switch.
(18) Make sure that the tw o pumps operate at the s ame time for 120 seconds +1 0 seconds or
−10 seconds.
(19) Put the FLUID C ONTROL PRIMARY switch t o the OF F position.
(20) Put the MAX FLOW switch to the WINDSHIELD position and release the sprin g-loaded switch.
(21) Make sure that the windshield pump m ak es t he fluid flow while the swi tch is in the
WINDSHIE LD position and for 4 seconds +2 s ec onds or −2 seconds after you relea se the
spring-loaded switch.
(22) Disengage the W /S A NTI-ICE circuit break er.
(23) Put the MAX FLOW switch to t he WINDSH I E LD posi tion and ho ld the s witc h.
(24) Make sure that the w indshield pump is off.
(25) Release the MAX F LOW switc h.
(26) Engage the W/S ANTI-ICE circuit breaker.
D. Do the test of the low p ressure switch as follows:
WARNING: During this tes t the TKS s ystem operation pressure will go above 80 psig.
(1) Disconnect the left and the right horizontal low pressure s witch connect ors.
NOTE: These connectors a re in the tailcone at FS434.00, aft of the tailcone proportioning
valve.
(2) Put the EX TERNA L P OWER switch to the BUS position.
(3) Put the FLUID CONT ROL PRIMARY switch to the HIGH position.
(4) After the metering pump operate s for no l es s than 15 seconds, connec t the horizontal,
low-pressure switch connec t or on the righ t side of the airplane.
(5) Make sure t hat the red A-ICE PRES S LOW annunciator comes on.
(6) Disconnect the horizontal, low-pre ssure s w itc h connector on t he right side of the airplane.
(7) Make sure t hat the red A-ICE PRESS LOW annunc iator g oes off.
(8) Connect the horizontal, low-press ure switch connector on the left side of the airpl ane.
(9) Make sure that the red WARN annunc iator com es on.
(10) Disconnect the horizontal, low -p ressure s w itc h connector on the left side of the airpl ane.
(11) Make sure t hat the red A-ICE PRESS LOW annunc iator g oes off.
(12) Put the FLUID C ONTROL PRIMARY switch t o the OF F position.
(13) Put the FL UID CONTROL BACKUP switch to the ON p os ition.
(14) After the metering pump operates fo r no less than 1 5 seconds, connec t the horizontal,
low-pressure switch connec t or on the righ t side of the airplane.
