  If your TGC Hob flame goes off while you're cooking, it could be due to a few reasons. A small flame might be blown out by the wind; in this case, wait a minute and try restarting the ignition. Alternatively, cooking spillage might be blocking the burner, causing abnormal combustion and activating the overheat protection. If this happens, let the appliance cool down, then clean and dry the burner caps and bodies before restarting. Also, the 3-hour automatic flame-off safety device might have been activated. If so, turn the control knob to the off position and repeat the ignition process if you need to continue cooking.
