What to do if the flame goes off when using TGC MEGA2 Hob?

  If the TGC Hob flame goes off while you're cooking, it might be due to a few reasons. A small flame could be blown out by the wind, in which case you should wait a minute and try restarting the ignition. Alternatively, cooking spillage might be blocking the burner, causing abnormal combustion and activating the overheat protection. If this happens, let the appliance cool down, then clean and dry the burner caps and bodies before restarting. Lastly, the 3-hour automatic flame-off safety device may have activated; simply turn the control knob to the off position and repeat the ignition process if you need to continue cooking.

  If your TGC Hob fails to ignite, it could be due to a flame failure during operation, the gas supply being turned off, a blocked burner, or dirty spark electrode and/or flame failure sensor. To resolve this, ensure the gas meter valve and appliance gas supply valve are fully open, remove any aluminum disc blocking the burner, and clean off any dirt from the spark electrode and flame failure safety sensor.

  If your TGC Hob has no flame, it could be due to a few reasons. Check if the gas meter valve and/or the appliance gas supply valve is turned off; if so, open them completely. Another cause could be that the burner is blocked by an aluminum disc, which you should remove. Finally, a dirty spark electrode can also prevent a flame, so try cleaning it.

  The 3-hour automatic flame off safety device activates because the flame is shut off automatically after 3 hours of use. To resolve this, turn the control knob to the OFF position and then ignite again.

What to do if the flame cannot be held on my TGC MEGA2 Hob?

  If the flame on your TGC Hob cannot be held, it could be because the control knob isn't fully pressed and turned to the ignition position. Make sure to fully press and turn the control knob anti-clockwise to the ignition position. Another possible cause is a dirty flame failure safety sensor, which you should clean.
