This document is a service manual for TGM Air Conditioners, covering technical information, installation, and maintenance.
Function Description
The air conditioners offer various operation modes including Auto, Cool, Dry, Fan, and Heat, selectable via the remote controller. In Auto mode, the unit automatically adjusts operation based on ambient temperature, with adjustable set temperature and fan speed. Cool mode provides cooling, with adjustable set temperature, fan speed, and swing angle. Dry mode operates at low fan speed to dehumidify, with fixed fan speed but adjustable swing angle. Fan mode provides air circulation without cooling or heating, with adjustable fan speed and swing angle. Heat mode provides heating, with adjustable set temperature, fan speed, and swing angle.
Special functions include:
- X-FAN function: Available in Cool or Dry mode, this function continues indoor fan operation for a few minutes after the unit is turned off to dry the evaporator and prevent mold. It can be activated or deactivated by holding the fan speed button for 2 seconds.
- Turbo function: In Cool or Heat mode, this function enables super-high fan speed for rapid cooling or heating to quickly reach the preset temperature. It is activated by the "Turbo" button.
- Sleep function: This function adjusts operation for comfortable sleep. Sleep mode 1 (Sleep 1) in Cool modes increases the set temperature by 1°C after one hour and by 2°C after two hours. In Heat mode, it decreases the set temperature by 1°C after one hour and by 2°C after two hours. Sleep mode 2 (Sleep 2) follows a presetting sleep temperature curve. Sleep mode 3 (Sleep 3) allows user-individuated sleep curve settings.
- I FEEL function: When activated, the remote controller sends the detected ambient temperature to the unit, which then automatically adjusts the indoor temperature accordingly.
- Energy-saving function: In Cool mode, this function adjusts the set temperature automatically to achieve optimal energy-saving effects. It is activated by simultaneously pressing "TEMP" and "CLOCK" buttons.
- 8°C heating function: In Heat mode, this function maintains a heating status at 8°C, useful for preventing freezing in unoccupied rooms. It is activated by simultaneously pressing "TEMP" and "CLOCK" buttons.
- Child lock function: This function locks the remote controller buttons to prevent accidental changes. It is activated by simultaneously pressing "▲" and "▼" buttons.
- Temperature display switchover: Allows switching the temperature display between °C and °F by simultaneously pressing "▼" and "MODE" buttons in OFF status.
- Auto clean function: This function cleans and sterilizes the indoor heat exchanger through condensation, frosting, defrosting, and high-temperature stages. It is activated by holding "MODE" and "FAN" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds in OFF status.
- Power limiting function: This function limits the power consumption of the unit.
- WiFi function: Enables control of the air conditioner via a smartphone app (GREE+ App or Ewpe Smart App). It can be turned on/off by pressing the "WiFi" button.
