How to fix TGW NBS BR belts rolling out of guide tracks?
    • D
      Daniel JohnsonAug 2, 2025
If the belts are rolling out of the guide tracks, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the conveyor is installed straight and level, correcting any high or low spots at divert points. Check that the air pressure for the belt take-up is set to the proper PSI. Verify the divert rises to the proper height and that the divert spur is set to the correct height. Misaligned rail joints can also cause this issue; loosen the rail splice hardware and use a rail alignment tool to adjust. Ensure the wave commander program matches the conveyor speed by setting the VFD for the motor to the proper speed. Also, verify the speed of the vertibelt and correct the VFD as necessary. Finally, inspect the timing of the divert to ensure the product is fully off the transfer before the unit lowers.

Belt failure can stem from a few key issues. Inspect the belt routing within the drive train to ensure it's properly installed. Check the rail alignment at joints to confirm they're aligned correctly. Also, inspect the air pressure within the belt take-up to ensure it's set properly, as incorrect belt tension can lead to failure.
