NOVA OPERATION 37
BASS SPEED FAST
If the Bass mode LED is Flashing (Bass Fast), each bass beat of the music speeds up the Chase within the range 2 secs per
step up to 1200 BPM. Depending on the setting of the Fade Master, the Up and Down fade time of each step is changed
automatically to match the speed of the Chase. Chase direction is automatically reversed every 8 music beats.
Snap Up and Down fade times are instant (up=0, dn=0).
Fade Up fade times are half the Speed Master setting (dn=t/2). Down fade times are the same as the speed setting (dn=t).
Comet Up fade times are instant (up=0). Down fade times are twice the speed setting (dn=2t).
BASS AUTO SLOW
If the Bass mode LED is On (Bass Slow), each bass beat of the music intensifies the level and speeds up the Chase within the
range 10 secs per step up to 120 BPM. Depending on the setting of the Fade Master, the Up and Down fade time of each step
is changed to match the speed of the Chase. Chase direction is automatically reversed every 8 music beats.
Snap Up fade times are instant (up=0). Down fade times are the same as the Speed Master setting (dn=t).
Fade Up fade times are the same as the speed setting (up=t). Down fade times are twice the speed setting (dn=2t).
Comet Up fade times are the same as the speed setting (up=t). Down fade times are four times the speed setting (dn=4t).
BASS AUTO FAST
If the Bass mode LED is Flashing (Bass Fast), each bass beat of the music intensifies the level and speeds up the Chase
within the range 2 secs per step up to 1200 BPM. Depending on the setting of the Fade Master, the Up and Down fade time of
each step is changed automatically to match the speed of the Chase. Chase direction is automatically reversed every 8 music
beats.
In both Bass Auto modes, you can use the Bass beat to modulate up and down the levels of what appears to be a single Scene
by recording 2 steps with the same levels.
§ Depending on the music style, any of these Bass modes can be used to step one or more Chases for an everchanging display
of lighting. Although all Chases are stepped at once, having up two Chases of different lengths greatly increases the variety of
the lighting. For example a Chase of 8 steps up at the same time as a Chase of 9 steps will only repeat the same look every
72 bass beats. If using the internal microphone, you can also tap the desk lightly with your fingers to provide your own
rhythm.
