If a display handset is paired with the valve, the display will show the battery level in both the valve and the
handset (by toggling between FC [fire control] and RC [remote control]).
• Battery symbol shows full battery indication and letters FC – meaning the Fire
Control batteries are in good condition.
• Usually the fire will function normally until only 1 bar is shown by the battery
indicator icon. If in any doubt, it is recommended that batteries are changed
as soon as possible.
• NOTE: Pairing is not lost if the batteries run out, or are removed, however the
time setting on the handset will be lost, and will need to be reset.
• Battery symbol shows empty battery indication and letters RC – meaning the
Remote Control batteries are in need of being changed.
• If letters FC are displayed, the batteries in the Fire Control valve need
changing.
• If fire does not light, the best course of action is to change the batteries for
known good (preferably new) batteries before doing anything else.
