Troubleshooting
Fault Possible cause Remedial action
Appliance has no cooling capacity. Powerfailure; the fuse hasactuated; Checkthat the power is on. The fuse must be switched
The interior light does not function, the mains plug is not in properly, on. Checkthat the mains plug is plugged in.
The display does not come on.
The refrigerating unit switches on
more and more frequently and for
longer.
Thetemperature in the refrigerator
compartment is too cold.
The interior light does not function,
The appliance is giving off odors.
Appliance dooropened frequently.
Largequantities of fresh food placedin
the appliance.
The ventilationopeningsare covered.
Temperature hasbeen set too tow.
The bulb is defective.
The light switch is sticking.
Strong-smeltingfoods havenot been
packed in airtight containers.
Donot open the door unnecessarily.
Switchon Super function.
Removeobstaclesand dirt.
Seta warmer temperature (see"Setting the
temperature").
Changethe bulb (see"Changingthe bulb").
Checkwhether it can be moved.
Cleanthe appliance. Pack strong-smeltingfoods in
airtight containers (see "Odors").
Changing the
bulb
To avoid electrical shock which
can cause death or severe
personal injury, disconnect power
to appliance before making
repairs. After making repairs,
reconnect power.

Switch off the appliance with
the POWER button! Pull out
the mains plug or switch off
the fuse,
Never touch a halogen bulb with
bare fingers.
When inserting a glass halogen
bulb, always hold with a soft
cloth.
We recommend that a service
technician changes the bulb.
Halogen bulbs above
Halogen bulb type:
20 W/12 V/socket G4
E3 Release the cover and remove
from the clip.
E3 Pull out the defective halogen
bulb.

Insert a new halogen bulb.
Touch the halogen bulb with a
soft cloth only.
Attach the cover and connect to
the clip.
