If the system ultimate pressure is high in your Thermo Scientific Oven, several factors could be the cause. The oven might be contaminated with high vapor pressure material, in which case you should clean the oven. Another cause might be contaminated pump oil, so you should change the oil and consider using an inlet vapor trap or gas ballast. Leaks in vacuum piping or ports can also lead to high pressure, so check the vacuum line, oven port, and door for leaks. Other potential issues include a worn vacuum pump seal (replace the shaft seal), a worn discharge valve (replace the valve), worn internal parts (install new vanes), an opened vacuum vent valve (close the vent valve), or a misaligned door (realign the door).
