  If your Thermo Scientific Chiller won't start, begin by inspecting the electrical connections. If it's the first time you're using it, refer to the quick start instructions. Check the controller for any error codes. Also, make sure the optional GFCI breaker on the rear is in the up position. For ThermoFlex900 - 10000 chillers, ensure the circuit protector is in the on ( I ) position. Confirm that the supply voltage is connected and matches the chiller's nameplate rating ±10%. If there's no display or it shows 8888 on ThermoFlex900 - 10000, try recycling the circuit protector on the rear.

Check that the supply voltage matches the chiller's nameplate rating ±10%. For ThermoFlex900 - 5000 global voltage chillers, make sure the chiller is properly configured. If the temperature continues to rise, ensure your application's heat load does not exceed the rated specifications. Also, check for high thermal gradients and verify/adjust controller PID values.

Check that the optional GFCI breaker on the rear is in the up position and, for ThermoFlex900 - 10000 chillers, that the circuit protector is in the on ( I ) position. Examine the controller for error codes. Remember the chiller is designed to shut down if not properly primed. Confirm the supply voltage matches the chiller's nameplate rating ±10%, and then restart the chiller. If there is inadequate pump pressure, ensure any user installed in-line valves are in the desired position. Also, ensure the chiller’s process fluid outlet is connected to the application’s fluid inlet and not the application’s fluid outlet.
