The electric water heater is equipped with a thermal cut-out that disconnects the heating element if it
overheats or if there is no water in the appliance. If the appliance is connected to the electricity supply
but the water fails to heat up and the heating indicator light does not switch on, this means the thermal
cut-out has tripped. To restore operation of the appliance, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the power supply to the appliance,
remove the side/lower cover;
- Press the reset button (1) in the centre of the thermal
cut-out as shown in the figure;
- If the button cannot be pressed and you cannot hear
a click, wait until the thermal cut-out has cooled to
its initial temperature.
