To begin using the TP393, users must first download and install the "ThermoPro Sensor" app on their smartphone. This can be done by scanning a QR code provided in the manual or by searching for "ThermoPro Sensor" in the Apple App Store for iOS devices (version 9.0 and above) or the Google Play Store for Android devices (version 4.4 and above). Android users should ensure they allow all necessary app requests from their system. Once the app is installed, Bluetooth needs to be enabled on the smartphone through its Settings section. If Bluetooth is already active, this step can be skipped.
Upon activation, the TP393's display will show the current temperature and humidity, and a Bluetooth icon will flash at the top of the screen. This flashing indicates that the thermometer is ready for pairing with a mobile phone, a state that lasts for approximately two minutes. To initiate pairing, users should launch the ThermoPro Sensor app and press the designated button within the app to add a new thermometer. The app will then display a list of available thermometers, from which the user selects the TP393 to pair. Once pairing is successfully completed, the Bluetooth icon on the thermometer's display will stop flashing, and the current temperature and humidity readings will be visible within the app. If the Bluetooth icon stops flashing before pairing is complete, users can press and hold the button on the device for two seconds to re-enter pairing mode, causing the icon to flash again.
The TP393 offers several user-friendly features. It includes a °F/°C button, which allows users to toggle the temperature display unit between Fahrenheit and Celsius with a simple press. An ON/OFF button controls the LCD display, turning it on or off as needed. For pairing, a dedicated button needs to be pressed and held for two seconds to enter pairing status. In case of any issues, a Reset button is available; pressing and holding it for two seconds will restart the product. Additionally, the device features a touch button to turn the backlight on or off, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions.
