Installation Clearances:

  • Minimum distance between the edge of the burner and the side: 200 mm.
  • Minimum distance between the edge of the burner and the rear: 200 mm.
  • Minimum distance between burners and overhanging parts: 500 mm.
  • An air gap of at least 30 mm must be provided under the unit (A).
  • A ventilation gap of 8 x 100 mm must be provided (B).
  • For models with a glass lid, the distance from the edge of the burner to the rear wall can be reduced to 110 mm.

Usage Features

The Thetford Hob 900 Series is designed for straightforward operation and safety.

  • Gas Connection: Connects to an 8 mm gas inlet. Only metal gas pipes compliant with EN1949 should be used. Rubber tubing is not recommended.
  • Electrical Connection: The spark ignition system is powered by a 12 V DC battery, using appropriate connectors.
  • Burner Flame: The burners use a fixed air/fuel mixture. Propane flames are blue-green with no yellow tip. Butane flames have yellow tips, and the yellow color increases slightly as the burner heats up.
  • Safety Regulations: Users must ensure adequate air supply for combustion and proper removal of combustion products to prevent accumulation of unburnt gases. The appliance must be installed in accordance with national and European regulations.

Maintenance Features
