Considering the generator represented in Figure (G) and all declared characteristics (generator
data, elevator transformer data, network data and CTs/VTs transformation ratios), it is necessary
adjust out of step alarms and trip functions to the following values coming from EMT study:
Relay nominal frequency f

must be adjusted to generator nominal frequency, therefore f

=50 Hz.
Relay nominal phase current I
n
must be set to CTs secondary nominal phase current, therefore

= 5 A.
Relay line input voltage Un (phase to phase voltage), must be set to VT nominal mains voltage divi-
ded by VTs transformation ratio, therefore:

= VT nominal mains voltage (Volt) / KTV = 11000/110 =100 V

impedance modules settings must be programmed related to relay nominal phase
impedance
the value per cui is calculated by the following general formula:
