What to do if TLV P46SRN Industrial Equipment condensate discharge is poor or blocked?
    • A
      Amanda WileyAug 6, 2025
If the condensate discharge is poor or blocked, several issues could be the cause. The module valve seat, screen, or piping might be clogged with rust or scale, in which case you should clean these parts. Alternatively, the disc could be stuck to the module valve seat, also requiring cleaning. Air binding or steam-locking might have occurred, suggesting a bypass blowdown, or closing the trap inlet valve to allow cooling. If air binding is due to a worn disc holder ring or air vent ring, replace these parts. Finally, the trap operating pressure might be below the minimum specified pressure, or there might be insufficient pressure differential between the trap inlet and outlet, so compare the specifications with actual operating conditions.

Why is TLV Industrial Equipment discharging steam from the outlet (blowing)?
    • T
      Timothy HarveyAug 16, 2025
Steam discharge or leakage from the outlet can occur due to several reasons. The disc or module valve seat may have rust or scale, requiring cleaning. Alternatively, the disc or module valve seat may be damaged or worn, necessitating replacement. Improper installation can also cause this issue, so ensure the installation is correct. Trap vibration can be a factor; try lengthening the inlet piping and fastening it securely. Lastly, the trap operating pressure might be less than the minimum specified pressure, or the back pressure exceeds the allowable back pressure, so compare the specifications with actual operating conditions.

How to fix steam leaking from TLV Industrial Equipment (not the outlet)?
    • M
      Melissa HancockAug 26, 2025
If steam is leaking from a place other than the outlet, it could be due to gasket deterioration or damage, in which case you should replace the gaskets. Another possibility is that improper tightening torques were used, so tighten to the proper torque.
