4. Set the throttle grip to START posi-
tion.

5. Turn the main switch key to ON posi-
tion.

6. Turn the main switch key to START
position and release the key when
engine has started. Also, confirm
warning lamp light up with beep
sound and then lights out. The key
returns to the original position auto-
matically.

Do not hold turning starter motor more than
5 seconds, or the battery may be consumed,
potentially making the engine starting
impossible and/or damaging the starter.
If cranking over 5 seconds fails to start
engine, return main switch to “ON”, and
crank engine again after 10 seconds or more.
7. Make sure that water is being dis-
charged from the cooling water check
port.
