Do you have a question about the toolport PT-L1-Q3 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The device described in this manual is a PT-L1-Q3 party tent, available in multiple sizes: 4 m x 6 m, 4 m x 8 m, and 4 m x 10 m. It is designed for temporary outdoor use, providing shelter from sun, wind, and light precipitation.

Function Description

The PT-L1-Q3 party tent serves as a versatile temporary structure for various outdoor activities and events. Its primary function is to offer protection from weather elements, making it suitable for celebrations, storage, and other purposes where a covered space is required. The tent is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, allowing for flexible usage. It can be used as a party tent, a storage tent, or a sun shelter.

Important Technical Specifications

The tent is available in three different dimensions:

  • 4 m x 6 m
  • 4 m x 8 m
  • 4 m x 10 m

The structure consists of a robust metal frame and a durable tarp material. Key components of the frame include:

  • Ø38mm steel tubes for the main structure, with varying lengths (e.g., 257mm, 1930mm, 1895mm).
  • Connectors (elbows and T-pieces) to join the tubes, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Foot plates (e.g., item no. 33079 and 30047) for securing the tent to the ground, providing stability.
  • Ropes and pegs (item no. 30050 and 30046) for anchoring the tent, essential for wind stability.

The tarp material is designed to withstand temperatures down to at least 10 °C. It is important to note that the tent is not tested for wind and snow loads by the manufacturer, meaning it is not guaranteed against damage in adverse weather conditions. The material should be stored at or above 10 °C to prevent damage from extreme cold.

The tent is equipped with side panels, which can include windows (item no. 30430) to allow light in. The side panels are attached to the frame using elastic loops and hooks (item no. 30051).

Usage Features

Assembly: The tent requires at least two people for assembly. The process involves connecting the Ø38mm tubes using the provided connectors, forming the roof and side frames. The tarp is then draped over the frame and secured. Foot plates are attached to the vertical poles, and the entire structure is anchored to the ground using ropes and pegs. The manual emphasizes the importance of following the assembly instructions carefully, including checking all parts before starting and using a rubber mallet for connections. An electric screwdriver with a maximum of level 2 torque is recommended for securing connections.

Ground Preparation: The ground surface for the tent must be level and suitable for anchoring. It is crucial to ensure adequate drainage to prevent water accumulation. The tent should not be erected on uneven or soft ground. A minimum distance of 1.2 m to the tarp material should be maintained from any heat sources (e.g., patio heaters, grills, gas heaters) to prevent fire hazards.

Safety Precautions:

  • Anchoring: The tent must be adequately secured to the ground using all provided ropes and pegs to ensure stability, especially in windy conditions.
  • Distance to Utilities: Maintain sufficient distance to hoses, gas lines, and power lines to avoid damage or hazards.
  • Heat Sources: Do not use open fires or heaters with open flames inside the tent.
  • Snow and Wind: The tent is not designed for heavy snow loads or strong winds. In adverse weather, it should be disassembled to prevent damage.
  • Children: Children should not play with spare parts of the tent.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Wear head protection, gloves, and sturdy shoes during assembly.
  • Sharp Edges: Be cautious of sharp edges on metal parts to avoid injury.

Disassembly: Disassembly involves reversing the assembly steps. The tarp should be cleaned and dried thoroughly before packing. All parts should be carefully stored in their original packaging or suitable containers to prevent damage and loss.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Tarp: The tarp material should be cleaned with a mild soapy solution and water. Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive materials that could damage the fabric. After cleaning, the tarp must be completely dry before folding and packing to prevent mold and mildew.
  • Metal Parts: The metal frame parts should be wiped clean with a light oily cloth before first use and after each use to prevent rust. Any dirt or residue should be removed.

Storage:

  • Dry Storage: All tent components, especially the tarp, must be stored in a dry place to prevent rust, mold, and material degradation.
  • Temperature: Store the tarp material at temperatures above 10 °C to maintain its integrity.
  • Organized Storage: Keep all parts organized in their original packaging or suitable containers to prevent loss and damage.
  • Outdoor Use Only: The tent is designed for outdoor use and should not be stored outdoors.

Environmental Protection: At the end of its lifespan, the tent should be disposed of according to local regulations. Metal parts can be recycled, and the tarp material should be disposed of responsibly.

Warranty and Customer Service: TOOLPORT offers customer service for inquiries regarding the product. Customers can contact them via email or telephone for spare parts, accessories, or any questions regarding the product. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. It is recommended to keep the proof of purchase (receipt) for warranty claims.
