INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TOPCON BG-5 Background Illumination.
This instrument is combined with the slit lamp and is used as an auxiliary illumination.
This instrument has the following features.
• Used for background illumination.
• The light level is changed according to the illumination level of the slit lamp.
• The following functions is provided.
- The light level for visible observation is changed by three steps (full-open, half-open,
OFF).
- The illumination is changed to the infrared light.
This manual outlines the BG-5 Background Illumination, including operating procedures and
troubleshooting.

This instrument is an accessory of the commercial product, Slit Lamp SL-D701.
