Do you have a question about the TopflyTech T8808 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the T8808 Vehicle GPS Tracker, a device designed for real-time remote monitoring and control of vehicles. It leverages GPRS communication technology, GPS satellite positioning, and internet technology to provide a comprehensive tracking solution. The tracker aims to help customers reduce costs, increase efficiency, ensure safety, and manage transparency within their vehicle operations. It is widely applicable in commercial transportation, corporate vehicle fleets, intelligent transportation, logistics distribution, car rental, engineering machinery, and marine transportation.
The T8808 Vehicle GPS Tracker offers a range of functions to ensure effective vehicle management and security. Its core capability is continuous GPS positioning and GPRS timing upload, enabling precise vehicle location tracking. The device supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz), ensuring broad network compatibility.
A key feature is the ACC ignition signal test, which provides real-time vehicle status prompts, allowing users to know when the ignition is on or off. For security, the tracker includes antitheft alarm capabilities. In case of an illegal power line cut-off, a built-in battery ensures the alarm function remains operational. The Model T8808-A variant also supports external fuel cut functionality, adding an extra layer of control and security by allowing remote disabling of the vehicle's fuel supply.
The device also facilitates SIM card credit checks, a useful maintenance feature to ensure continuous operation.
The T8808 tracker is designed for user-friendly operation and offers multiple ways to access location information and control the device.
Installation: The device should be installed in a concealed location to prevent theft or damage, away from emission sources like parking sensors or burglar alarms. Crucially, the device's top side (reception face) must face upward and not be shielded by metallic surfaces to ensure optimal GSM and GPS signal reception. Suggested installation locations include beneath the console of the front or back windshield, or around the dashboard (if non-metallic). The device comes with sponge double-sided adhesive tape for secure mounting, or cable ties can be used. For the fuel cut feature (Model T8808-A), proper relay wiring is essential, connecting the device's yellow line to the relay control line and interrupting the positive supply of the oil pump. The relay should be secured in a dry place and protected, if possible.
Power On/Off: To power on, simply insert a SIM card and connect the main power line; the device will turn on automatically. To power off, remove the SIM card and disconnect the main power, and the device will power off within 5-10 seconds.
Indicator Lights: The device features red (GSM status) and blue (GPS status) indicator lights. A fast blink on the red light indicates GSM network searching, while a slow blink signifies normal GSM operation. Similarly, a fast blink on the blue light means GPS satellite searching, and a slow blink indicates GPS positioning is done. These lights automatically turn off after 5 minutes of device operation to maintain concealment. To check the working status via lights, users can dial the SIM card number in the device, which will cause the lights to blink for another 5 minutes.
Location Search: Users can query the vehicle's location through several methods:
Fuel Cut (Model T8808-A): The Service Platform or a designated Manager can issue a fuel cut command. For safety, the device will only cut off fuel supply when GPS positioning is active and the vehicle speed is below 20 km/h. If the speed is higher or GPS is not fixed, the device will wait until conditions are met before executing the command. Fuel supply can be restored via a similar command.
Operation Commands (SMS): The device supports a variety of SMS commands for configuration and control, including:
The T8808 tracker includes several features and guidelines to assist with troubleshooting and ensure long-term reliability.
Warranty Details: The device comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, provided it has not been damaged by the user. The warranty requires the original warranty card and purchase receipt. After-sales service is available for devices outside the warranty period for a fee, covering issues like expired warranty, damage from unauthorized dismantling, improper installation/usage, or tampered IMEI labels/warranty cards.
The T8808 is designed to operate within a wide range of environmental conditions, with an operation temperature of -20°C to 65°C and storage temperature of -30°C to 80°C. It also tolerates operating humidity of 10% to 80% (non-condensing) and storage humidity of 0% to 90% (non-condensing). It should be installed in areas protected from rain or snow.
