How to troubleshoot no electrical power in my Tornado 98250?
    • B
      Brian LopezAug 18, 2025
If your Tornado Floor Machine has no electrical power, it could be due to a defective power cord, which should be replaced. Alternatively, the circuit breaker might be off, or a fuse blown. In this case, turn the circuit breaker on or replace the fuse, and unplug any other equipment using the same circuit.

What to do if my Tornado 98250 pump motor runs but no spray?
    • S
      Steve FriedmanAug 26, 2025
If the pump motor is running on your Tornado Floor Machine but there's no spray through the jets, the issue could be a clogged or faulty solution control valve (check the intake and remove any lint or foreign material), a clogged or faulty quick disconnect on the housing (depress the plunger on the solution hose against the inside wall of the solution tank to check for flow, and inspect the quick disconnect for obstructions), a punctured pump diaphragm (replace it with a diaphragm repair kit), or clogged jets (clean the jets on the wand or tool).

Why is the pump pressure low on my Tornado Floor Machine?
    • D
      Destiny ShafferAug 28, 2025
If your Tornado Floor Machine has low pump pressure, check the screens on the strainer in the solution tank for clogs; if clogged, unscrew the strainer and remove any lint or foreign material. Also, inspect the pump diaphragm for punctures, and replace it with a diaphragm repair kit if needed. Finally, the pump may not be primed; plug the priming hose into the solution connection and place the end in the solution tank, then run the pump for 4 minutes.

Why does the ball type shutoff close prematurely on my Tornado 98250 Floor Machine?
    • S
      Samantha PayneSep 7, 2025
If the ball type shutoff is closing prematurely or failing to release after the recovery tank is drained on your Tornado Floor Machine, the shutoff filter screen might be dirty or clogged; remove and clean the screen. Alternatively, the ball could be coated with detergent or other foreign material; remove and rinse the ball with clean water. Lastly, the screen might be slightly out of round; bend the screen by squeezing slightly by hand until there is an obvious space between ball and inside of screen.

Why is foam coming out of the vacuum exhaust port of my Tornado Floor Machine?
    • B
      Brenda EnglishSep 9, 2025
If foam or dirty solution is coming out of the vacuum exhaust port of your Tornado Floor Machine, it could be due to foam carpet bypassing the water shutoff; use additional defoamer. Another possibility is that the elbow in the vacuum tank is not positioned correctly; the elbow should be pointed directly at the side wall of the tank away from the ball type shutoff.

What causes a leaking solution valve in my Tornado Floor Machine?
    • K
      kara62Sep 12, 2025
If your Tornado Floor Machine has a leaking or stuck solution valve, it could be due to foreign material in the valve; remove the brass hex plug, clean the valve, and replace it. Alternatively, the brass hex nut might be loose; reseal the hex and plug. Finally, the valve or seals may be worn; replace worn parts with a solution valve repair kit.
