blade pr oper l y .
Ifyoudonothaveatorquewrenchorare
uncomfortableperformingthisprocedure,contactan
AuthorizedServiceDealer.
Examinethebladewheneveryourunoutofgasoline.Ifthe
bladeisdamagedorcracked,replaceitimmediately.Ifthe
bladeedgeisdullornicked,haveitsharpenedandbalanced,
orreplaceit.
WARNING
Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecanresult
inseriouspersonalinjury.
Weargloveswhenservicingtheblade.
1.RefertoPreparingforMaintenance(page16).
2.Tipthemachineontoitssidewiththedipstickdown.
3.Useablockofwood(notincluded)toholdtheblade
steady(Figure33).

5.Installthenewbladeandallmountinghardware

Important:Positionthecurvedendsoftheblade
topointtowardthemachinehousing.
6.Useatorquewrenchtotightenthebladeboltto82
Nm(60ft-lb).
Important:Abolttorquedto82Nm(60ft-lb)is
verytight.Whileholdingthebladewithablock
ofwood,putyourweightbehindtheratchetor
wrenchandtightentheboltsecurely.Thisboltis
verydifculttoovertighten.
