Gasolinecanvaporizeifyoustoreitoverlong

•Donotstoregasolineoverlongperiodsoftime.
•Donotstorethemachinewithgasolineinthe
fueltankorthecarburetorinanenclosurewith
anopename.(Forexample,afurnaceora
waterheaterpilotlight.)
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringitinany
enclosure.
Emptythegasolinefromthefueltankwhenmowingforthe
lasttimebeforestoringthemachine.
1.Runtheengineuntilitshutsofffromrunningoutof
gasoline.
2.Choketheengineandstartitagain.
3.Allowtheenginetorununtilitshutsoff.Whenyou
cannolongerstarttheengine,itissufcientlydry.
PreparingtheEngine
1.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,changetheoilinthe
crankcase;refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page18).
2.Removethesparkplug.
3.Usinganoilcan,addabout30ml(1oz)ofengineoil
totheenginecrankcasethroughthespark-plughole.
4.Slowlyrotatetheengineseveraltimesbypullingthe
recoil-starthandletodistributetheoilthroughoutthe
enginecrankcase.
5.Installthesparkplugbutdonotconnectthewireto
thesparkplug.
