Assemble muffler onto crankshaft.

A special tool. crankshaft support gauge, part
number
609968 is required to position the support
correctly
do it doesn’t contact the crankshaft.
Slide the gauge onto crankshaft with the thin wall
of gauge inside of support.
Always assemble the crankshaft support with the
flange down towards the blade.

Clean threads on muffler bolts thoroughly and ap-
ply Ultra-Lbck, part number
388517. Install bolts
and tighten to
150-190 inch pounds.
