Thestringtrimmercutswhenpassingtheunitfromlefttoright.
Thiswillavoidthrowingdebrisattheoperator.
Usethetipofthestringtodothecutting;donotforcestringhead
intouncutgrass.
Wireandpicketfencescauseextrastringwear,evenbreakage.
Stoneandbrickwalls,curbs,andwoodmaywearstringrapidly.
Avoidtreesandshrubs.Treebark,woodmoldings,siding,and
fencepostscaneasilybedamagedbythestrings.

Maintenance
Aftereachuseofthetrimmer,completethefollowing:
Wipethetrimmercleanwithadampcloth.Donothosethe
trimmerdownorsubmergeitinwater.
Wipeorscrapecleanthecuttingheadareaanytimethereisan
accumulationofdebris.
Checkandtightenallfasteners.Ifanypartisdamagedorlost,
repairorreplaceit.
Brushdebrisawayfromairintakeventsonthebackoftheshaftto
preventthemotorfromoverheating.
ReplacingtheSpool
Useonly.065inch(1.6mm)diametermonolamentstring.Use
originalmanufacturer’sreplacementstringforbestperformance(Toro
partnumber88532).
1.Removethebattery.
2.Pushinthetabsonthesideofthespoolretainer(Figure15).
