Using the Drive-Wheel
Release V alves
W ARNING
Hands may become entangled in the rotating
drive components below the engine deck,
which could result in serious injury .
Shut off the engine, remove the key , and allow
all moving parts to stop before accessing the
drive-wheel release valves.
W ARNING
The engine and hydraulic-drive units can
become very hot. T ouching a hot engine or
hydraulic-drive units can cause severe burns.
Allow the engine and hydraulic-drive units
to cool completely before accessing the
drive-wheel release valves.
For Machines with ZT 4400 Hydros
The drive-wheel release valves are located on the left
and right sides underneath the engine deck.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2. Shut of f the engine, remove the key , and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. T o push the machine, move both bypass levers
forward and lock them into place ( Figure 38 ).
4. Disengage the parking brake before pushing
the machine.
5. T o run the machine, move the bypass levers
rearward and lock them into place ( Figure 38 ).
