Adjusting the Compression Spring
1. Raise deck lift lever to the transport position,
(Figure 133).

2. Springs are compressed so the distance between
the two large washers should be 11 in. (279mm)
(Figure 134).

Adjust by turning nut in front of each spring (Figure
134). Clockwise will shorten spring; counterclockwise
will lengthen spring.
