RemovingtheFilters
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedposition,andsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerandpulltheair
cleanercoverofftheaircleanerbody(Figure38).

6.Removethesafetylteronlyifyouintendtoreplace

Important:Neverattempttocleanthesafety
lter.Ifthesafetylterisdirty,thentheprimary
lterisdamaged.Replacebothlters.
7.Inspecttheprimarylterfordamagebylookinginto
thelterwhileshiningabrightlightontheoutside
ofthelter.Holesinthelterwillappearasbright
spots.Ifthelterisdamaged,discardit.
