whencuttinggrass,frayedbeltedges,burnmarks,
andcracksaresignsofawornmowerbelt.Replace
themowerbeltifanyoftheseconditionsareevident.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceand
disengagetheblade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothe
parkposition,stoptheengine,removethekey,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutatthelowestcutting
positionof38mm(1-1/2inches).
4.Usingaspring-removaltool(Toropartno.

hooktoremovetensionontheidlerpulley,and
rollthebeltoffofthepulleys(Figure57).
