sparkplug,installausedsparkplugan1/8–1/4turnpast
ngertightandinstallanewsparkpluga1/2turnpastnger
tight.Ensurethesparkplugistightenedwithatorquewrench
assoonaspossible.
Tightenthesparkplug(s)to25–30N-m(18.5–22.1ft-lb).

Cleantheairintakescreenfromgrassanddebrisbeforeeach
use.
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitchandapplythe
parkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Removetheengineshroud.
4.Cleandebrisandgrassfromtheparts.
5.Installtheengineshroud.

rst)—Replacethein-linefuellter.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuelline.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Ensurethebrakeisengaged,stoptheengine,remove
thekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
