Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthemachine.
Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthecontrol
panel,undertheseat,aroundtheengine,hydraulic
pumps,andmotors.
Washtheundersideofthemoweraftereachusetoprevent
grassbuildupforimprovedmulchactionandclipping
dispersal.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Ensuretheparkingbrakeisengaged,stoptheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Attachthehosecouplingtotheendofthemower
washouttting,andturnthewateronhigh(Figure64).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethecouplingslideoneasierandprotect
theO-ring.

blade-controlswitchandletthemowerrunforoneto
threeminutes.
6.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.Waitforallmovingparts
tostop.
7.Turnthewateroffandremovethecouplingfromthe
washouttting.
Note:Ifthemowerisnotcleanafteronewashing,
soakitandletitstandfor30minutes.Thenrepeatthe
process.
8.Runthemachineandmowerbladesagainforoneto
threeminutestoremoveexcesswater.
9.Turnoffthemowerblades.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithbladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
