1.Disengagethepowertakeoff(bladecontrolswitch
(PTO),settheparkingbrake,andturntheignitionkey
toOff.Removethekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engineandhydraulicsystem.Cleandirtandchafffrom
theoutsideoftheenginecylinderheadnsandblower
housing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,
andmotors.
3.Checkthebrake;referto
AdjustingtheParkingBrake
(page46)intheMaintenanceSection.
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page31)intheMaintenanceSection.
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingandLubrication
(page29)intheMaintenanceSection.
6.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoChangingtheEngine
Oil(page33)intheMaintenanceSection.
7.Checkthetirepressure;referto
CheckingtheTire
Pressure(page41)
intheMaintenanceSection.
8.Changethehydrauliclters;refertoServicingthe
HydraulicSystem(page51)

9.Chargethebattery;referto
ServicingtheBattery(page

10.Scrapeanyheavybuildupofgrassanddirtfromthe
undersideofthemower,thenwashthemowerwith
agardenhose.
Note:Runthemachinewiththebladecontrolswitch
(PTO)engagedandtheengineathighidlefor2to
5minutesafterwashing.
11.Checktheconditionoftheblades;refertoServicingthe
CuttingBlades(page55)intheMaintenanceSection.
12.Preparethemachineforstoragewhennon-useoccurs
over30days.Preparethemachineforstorageas
follows:
A.Addapetroleumbasedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuseanalcohol
basedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfuelandusedat
alltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Stoptheengine,allowittocool,anddrainthe
fueltank;referto
ServicingtheFuelTank(page
37)intheMaintenanceSection.
D.Restarttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.
Important:Donotstore
stabilizer/conditionedfuelover90days.
13.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamaged.
14.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
15.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageorstoragearea.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchandkeepit
outofreachofchildrenorotherunauthorizedusers.
Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
