Problem
Possible Cause Corrective Action
1. The key was turned to
the start position before
the glow plug light
turned off.
1. Turn the key to the run
position and allow the
glow plug light to turn
off before starting the
engine.
2. The engine temperature
is low.
2. Check the thermostat.
3. The glow plugs are
inoperative.
3. Check the fuse, glow
plugs and wiring.
4. The injection pump
timing is incorrect.
4. Contact your Authorized
Service Dealer.
5. The injection nozzles are
damaged.
5. Contact your Authorized
Service Dealer.
Excessive white smoke from
exhaust.
6. Low compression
6. Contact your Authorized
Service Dealer.
1. The parking brake is on. 1. Release the parking
brake.
2. Hydraulic uid level low. 2. Add hydraulic uid to
the reservoir.
3. The tow valves are open. 3. Close the tow valves.
4. Flow divider valve lever
is in 9 o’clock position.
4. Move lever to 12 o’clock
to 10 o’clock position.
5. Traction pump drive
coupler is loose or
broken.
5. Contact your Authorized
Service Dealer.
6. Pump and/or wheel
motor is damaged.

7. Control valve is
damaged.
7. Contact your Authorized
Service Dealer.
Traction unit does not drive.
