Why won't my Toro Snow Blower start?

  If your Toro Snow Blower's engine doesn't start, make sure the key is in the ignition and in the On position. Also, ensure the choke is in the On position and that you've pressed the primer 3 times. Check that the fuel shutoff valve is open and the throttle is set to the Fast position. Stale fuel or an empty tank could also be the issue; drain and refill with fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old). Verify the spark plug wire is connected, and inspect the spark plug itself for damage or incorrect gap. A restricted fuel vent cap or incorrect engine oil level can also prevent starting. Address these potential causes to resolve the issue.

  If your Toro Snow Blower engine is running rough, the choke might be in the On position—move it to the Off position. Ensure the fuel shutoff valve is completely open. Old fuel or a nearly empty tank can also cause this; replace the fuel with fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old). Check that the spark plug wire is securely connected and inspect the spark plug for any damage or incorrect gap. Finally, verify that the engine oil level is correct, adjusting as needed to reach the Full mark on the dipstick.
