2.Removethedipstickbyrotatingthecap
counterclockwiseandpullingitout(Figure13).

4.Insertthedipstickintotheoil-lltube,butdonot
screwitin,thenremovethedipstick.
5.Readtheoillevelonthedipstick(Figure13).
Iftheoillevelonthedipstickistoolow,
carefullypourasmallamountofoilintothe
oil-lltube,wait3minutes,andthenrepeat
steps3through5untiltheoilonthedipstick
isatthecorrectlevel.
Iftheoillevelonthedipstickistoohigh,drain
theexcessoiluntiltheoilonthedipstickis
atthecorrectlevel.Todraintheexcessoil,
refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page18).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcase
istoolowortoohighandyourunthe
engine,youmaydamagetheengine.
6.Installthedipstickintotheoil-lltubesecurely.

Youcanraiseorlowerthehandlein1of2positions
thatismorecomfortableforyou(Figure14).
