Pre-MaintenanceProcedures
Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachinearedesignedtoremainonthecoverafter
removal.Loosenallfastenersoneachcoverafewturnssothatthecoverisloosebutstillattached,
thengobackandloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.Thispreventsyoufromaccidentallystripping
theboltsfreeoftheretainers.
RemovingtheFrontCover
Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachinearedesignedtoremainonthecoverafter
removal.Loosenallfastenersoneachcoverafewturnssothatthecoverisloosebutstillattached,
thengobackandloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.Thispreventsyoufromaccidentallystripping
theboltsfreeoftheretainers.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparkingbrake,andlowerthehydrauliclift.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andallowtheenginetocool.
WARNING
Ifthemachinehasbeenrunning,boththecoverandthemuferunderthecoverwillbe
hotandcancausesevereburnsifyoutouchthem.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeremovingthecover.
3.Loosenthe2boltssecuringthefrontcovertothemachine(Figure1).
