wrenchforremovingandinstallingthesparkpluganda
gappingtoolorfeelergaugetocheckandadjusttheairgap.
Installanewsparkplugifnecessary.

AirGap:0.76mm(0.03inch)
RemovingtheSparkPlug
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,movethemotion
controlsoutwardtotheparkposition,stoptheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Beforeremovingthesparkplug(s),cleanthearea
aroundthebaseoftheplugtokeepdirtanddebrisout
oftheengine.
3.Removethesparkplug(Figure36).

CleaningtheBlowerHousing
Toensurepropercooling,makesurethegrassscreen,cooling
ns,andotherexternalsurfacesoftheenginearekeptclean
atalltimes.
Annuallyorevery100hoursofoperation(moreoftenunder
extremelydusty,dirtyconditions),removetheblowerhousing
andanyothercoolingshrouds.Cleanthecoolingnsand
externalsurfacesasnecessary.Makesurethecoolingshrouds
areinstalledafternishingthemaintenance.Torquethe
blower-housingscrewsto7.5N-m(5.5ft-lb).
Important:Operatingtheenginewithablockedgrass
screen,dirtyorpluggedcoolingns,and/orcooling
shroudsremoved,willcauseenginedamagedueto
overheating.
