4. Install brake spring to the clutch/brake rod (Figure
19).

5. Install belt around the transaxle pulley. Reinstall
the idler spring to the idler assembly (Figure 20).

6. Install the right and left belt guides and adjust so
they are within 1/8” (3mm) of the transaxle pulley
and drive belt (Figure 21). Note direction of belt
guide installation, right hand points forward, left
hand points rearward.

7. Connect the brake return spring to the brake lever
(Figure 22).
