Setting up the Network
You can select the Network Type.
1 ~u > Settings > PREFERENCES> Network
Setup> 8.
(Another: ~u > Network> Network Setup> 8.)
2 Press or .... to highlight Network Type.
3 Press or ~ to select Wired or Wireless.
4 If you select Wired, see" Advanced Network Setup"
(~p. 25).
If you select Wireless, see the next section.
Wireless Setup
Note: Continued AP (Access Point) connection is not
guaranteed. Connection may be lost while watching TV.
Easy Setup using PBC (Push Button Configuration)
1 ~u > Settings> PREFERENCES> Network
Setup> @.
2 Press or to select Wireless Setup. Press @.
3 Press or to select Easy Setup. Press @.
4 Press or ~ to select PBC.
5 Press to select Start Scan. Press 8.
6 Following the onscreen instructions, push the
appropriate button on your AP.
7 When a screen reporting that the setup has
succeeded appears, press @.
To cancel searching for the AP:
Press ~N while searching for the AP. A message will
appear. Press .... or ~ to select Yes. Press @.
Easy Setup using PIN (Personal Identification
Number)
1 ~u > Settings> PREFERENCES> Network
Setup> @.
2 Press or to select Wireless Setup. Press 8.
3 Press or to select Easy Setup. Press @.
4 Press or ~ to select PIN.
S Press to select Start Scan. Press @.
6 Scan screen appears. Enter the PIN displayed on
this screen into your PC or AP.
7 Press ... or .... to select the desired AP. Press @.
Note: Check the MAC address on the label or in the
manual of the AP and select an AP.
8 When a screen reporting that the setup succeeded
appears, press @.
To cancel searching for the AP:
Press ~N while searching for the AP. A message will
appear. Press .... or ~ to select Yes. Press @.
Advanced Network Setup
Note:
• When the OHCP function of the router connected to this
TV is On, you can set Auto Setup to On or Off. (Usually
set it to On.)
• When the OHCP function of the router is Off, set Auto
Setup to Off, and manually set the IP Address or ONS
Address.
IP Address Setup
Note: The settings in Auto Setup are linked to those
selected
in the ONS Setup menu. IfAuto Setup is set to On,
then Auto Setup in the ONS Setup menu will also be set to
On.
Auto Setup:
1 ;;~u > Settings> PREFERENCES> Network
Setup> @.
2 Press ... or .... to select Advanced Network Setup.
Press @.
3 Press ... or .... to select IP Address Setup. Press @.
4 Select Auto Setup. Press .... or ~ to select On.
Note: Other items will be grayed out when Auto Setup is
set to On.
