36 Clearing a Staple Jam

Close the front cover of the finisher.

Lower the guide while holding the knob.
Do not touch the stapling area (A in the figure).
The actual needle point could cause you personal injury.

Remove all jammed staples with something sharp.

Holding the knob, raise the guide, and return it to its
original position.

Fit the staple cartridge into the stapler.
Insert the staple cartridge until you hear a click sound (the staple
cartridge is latched). Then lower the lever slightly.
