This document is the Owner's Manual for a Toshiba Air Conditioner (Split Type) with R32 refrigerant, designed for commercial use. It covers models RAV-GM301KRTP-A, RAV-GM401KRTP-A, RAV-GM561KRTP-A, and RAV-GM801KRTP-A, which are high-wall indoor units.
Function Description
The Toshiba air conditioner provides cooling, heating, and fan-only operations, with additional features like automatic operation, dry mode, high power, quiet operation, preset operation, comfort sleep, and various timer functions. It can be controlled via a wireless remote controller, and in some configurations, a wired remote controller can also be used, especially for group control of multiple indoor units.
Operation Modes
- Cooling/Heating/Fan Only Operation: Standard modes for adjusting room temperature. In fan-only mode, temperature setting is not indicated.
- Dry Operation: Reduces humidity in the room. The fan speed is automatically set to AUTO.
- Automatic Operation (Auto Changeover): This function is available only when combined with a heat recovery model outdoor unit. The operating mode (cooling or heating) is selected automatically based on room temperature. If used with other outdoor unit models, "A" (Auto) will appear on the remote controller, but the automatic operation will be disabled.
- High Power Operation: Boosts cooling or heating capacity. For cooling, it operates at 1°C lower than the setting temperature, and fan speed increases. For heating, it operates at 2°C higher than the setting temperature, and fan speed increases. This mode is not available in DRY or FAN ONLY operation, or during group control.
- Quiet Operation: Reduces operation noise by automatically setting the fan speed to the lowest level.
- Preset Operation: Allows users to memorize and recall preferred operation settings (mode, temperature, fan speed, airflow direction).
- Comfort Sleep Operation: An OFF timer operation that automatically adjusts room temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleep. For cooling, the temperature increases by 1 degree/hour (max 2 degrees increase). For heating, the temperature decreases. This mode is not available in DRY or FAN ONLY operation, and only the OFF timer function is activated during group control.
Timer Functions
- ON Timer and OFF Timer: Allows scheduling the air conditioner to start or stop at a desired time. Settings can be adjusted in 10-minute or 1-hour steps.
- Combined Timer (OFF Timer → ON Timer): Stops the unit after a set period and restarts it later.
- Combined Timer (ON Timer → OFF Timer): Starts the unit at a set time and stops it later.
- Every Day Combined Timer: Activates a combined timer (ON and OFF) daily.
Airflow Adjustment
- Adjusting Airflow Direction: The air conditioner automatically adjusts the vertical airflow direction in AUTO or A mode. Users can manually adjust the vertical airflow using the FIX button and the horizontal airflow using a lever.
- Swing Operation: The horizontal louver automatically moves up and down.
Important Technical Specifications
- Refrigerant Type: R32 (flammable refrigerant).
- Power Supply: The manual emphasizes the importance of proper electrical work by a qualified installer to prevent electric shocks or leaks.
- Safety Devices: Includes a 3-minute protection function to prevent immediate restarts after power interruptions and protective devices that stop operation if the unit is overloaded.
