      If your Toshiba DVD Player remote control isn't working, first, make sure there are no obstacles blocking the path between the remote and the unit. Then, replace the batteries with new ones. Ensure you're pointing the remote at the DVD Player's remote sensor, and that you're within 23 feet (7 meters) of the unit. Finally, if you're using the remote for VCR functions, press the VCR button first; for DVD functions, press the DVD button.

      If you're getting no picture from your Toshiba DVD+VCR, first, make sure your TV is set to the correct input to receive the DVD+VCR signal. Next, check that the video cable is securely connected. If you're using component video input, ensure Progressive Scan is set to Off.
